AMANDA HICKEY earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Delaware in 2017. After college, Amanda attended the Maurice A. Deane School of Law, where she graduated from with her Juris Doctorate in 2020. During law school, Amanda was a member of the Family Court Review. Her note, Federal Family Court: Providing Positive Possibilities was published in July of 2020. In law school, Amanda was a member of the Clinical Prosecution Practicum, where she managed a caseload and appeared in court regularly.
Amanda worked for the Nassau County District Attorney's Office from 2020 until she became associated with our firm in 2023. During her time as an Assistant District Attorney, Amanda prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases. As a prosecutor, Amanda gained substantial litigation experience conducting pre-trial hearings, oral arguments, grand jury prosecutions, and trials.
