On Friday, February 9, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. Frazer & Feldman conducted their annual Legal Loop roundtable discussion, covering in-depth special education topics of interest to school districts. The Legal Loop was held at our new law offices located at: 1400 Old Country Road in Westbury, New York, in the conference room on the ground floor. This year's Legal Loop covered the following topics:

•    Identification and Correspondence Between IEP Needs and Goals
•    Writing Effective 504 Plans

As you enter your annual review season, we thought it was a good time to host a refresher on the keys to developing successful IEPs and 504 plans, addressing the identified needs of classified students through measurable data driven goals, and understanding the rights of students under Section 504 of federal law.
