On Friday April 4, 2025, Joseph Lilly, Dennis P. O'Brien, Daniel Levin and Amanda Hickey, conducted a Student Discipline Seminar for our school district clients and their Building Principals, Assistant Principals, and Assistant Superintendents. The seminar served as a refresher on state laws and regulations related to short-term and long-term student suspensions, how to conduct an effective investigation for student misconduct, and due process rights that should be provided to parents of suspended students. Also provided was an overview of the process for suspending students with disabilities, including manifestation determination review meetings.
