LIZA BLASZCYK earned her B.A. degree from University at Albany, State University of New York in 2017. During her time at SUNY Albany, Ms. Blaszcyk worked at the New York State Senate where she helped write the 2016 Report for the Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction. Ms. Blaszcyk later attended New York Law School, receiving a J.D. degree in 2021 and was admitted to practice law in New York in 2022. Ms. Blaszcyk was an executive board member of the New York Law School Moot Court Association, where she wrote the 45th Annual Robert F. Wagner National Employment and Labor Law Competition Fact Pattern, which involved issues regarding COVID-19 and the workplace.

Prior to joining Frazer & Feldman, Liza interned at the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, where she focused on cases regarding child abuse and maltreatment. She also interned at Manhattan Legal Services in the Veterans Justice Department where she provided legal services to active duty and retired service members, including “Military Mondays” where she assisted clients in Social Security Disability Insurance applications.

Since joining Frazer & Feldman in January 2022, Liza has focused her practice on employee and labor relations. She has handled a range of issues that include: negotiating collective bargaining agreements for all units (custodians, food service workers, teacher aides, paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators); impasse and mediation; grievances; applications to PERB for confidential/ managerial designation; drafting side letters and stipulations of settlements related to bargaining units. Liza also handles Civil service law issues, workers compensation questions, FMLA eligibility issues, tenure, and probationary period questions; individual employment agreements for non-aligned district employees, and retiree health insurance agreements. She has provided Title IX training for our clients and regularly handles FOIL and FERPA requests. Liza participates in our firm's annual election seminar for our school district clients. She is the current co-chair for the Nassau County Bar Association's Education Law Committee.
