GENEVIEVE E. PEEPLES received her Juris Doctor Degree from St. John's University School of Law and her B.A. (Cum Laude) from Boston College, College of Arts and Sciences. She is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of New York and in the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York. Prior to joining Frazer & Feldman, LLP, Genevieve accumulated a decade of experience representing labor unions and employees throughout the metropolitan area.
Since joining Frazer & Feldman in 2022, she has focused her practice in the areas of public sector labor law and education law, including negotiations, mediation, impasse and fact-finding, interest arbitration, grievances and arbitration, discrimination, EEOC issues, employee benefits, proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board, and disciplinary matters. She counsels school districts on matters pertaining to negotiations and the application and interpretation of provisions of collective bargaining agreements.
Genevieve has engaged in negotiations on behalf of numerous Districts obtaining favorable results at the bargaining table with teachers, administrators, and support personnel. Genevieve counsels clients throughout the negotiations process tailoring her approach to their unique needs and financial goals. She has also completed multiple sexual harassment investigations from initial complaint through the final appeal process, as well as successfully defended Complaints before the State Division of Human Rights and the New York State Public Employment Relations Board. She routinely advises clients on a variety of labor and employment issues including Civil Service Law matters, contract grievances and arbitrations, contractual interpretation, FMLA, tenure and seniority questions, contractual interpretation, and State Labor Law requirements.
Genevieve is a member of the New York State Bar Association, where she previously served on the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section and was a former co-chair of the Section's New Lawyers Committee.
